18th CENTURY ORNATE FLINTLOCK PISTOL 1098L by DENIX
This non-firing model gun has an elegant physique and ornate engraving that runs throughout the entire surface of the pistol. This petite, handsome replica flintlock pistol measures at 7.5" overall and features an engraved metal 3.25" barrel, frame and butt cap in simulated antique brass patina and simulated ivory grips. This replica is faithfully reproduced from an original pocket pistol made by Kumbley & Brum of London (circa 1795). Rotate the frizzen, cock the hammer, and pull the trigger – the hammer falls just as it did for those who fired them in America's early colonial history over 200 years ago. |

Not all flintlock pistols were great big clunky cumbersome things. Some, as this Ornate 18th Century Flintlock Pocket Pistol demonstrates, were smaller and sleek in design. This one also possesses striking grip and barrel decoration, making it a status pistol for anyone of taste and class to carry. In fact, you might go so far as to say that a smaller flintlock pistol such as this was an early derringer, being easy to conceal and carry, as well as easy to flash draw in a moment's notice. |
