The Knights Templar were a powerful crusading order of knights founded in the 11th Century with many of their number recruited from England and France. There are many Templar castles and churches throughout England including the Temple Church in London, made famous in The Da Vinci Code. The Knights Templar Dagger is constructed in the world famous Art Gladius sword factory in Toledo, Spain. Toledo has a reputation for producing some of the finest swords in Europe and has been the center of sword production for centuries.

The Spanish stainless steel blade is topped by a brass plated crossguard with ornate jackle-faced quillons and simple cross pattée decoration at the center. An enameled red on white Templar Cross is also featured at the center of the pommel and is surrounded by the Latin/Greek text “Sigillum Militum Xpisti” translating as "The Seal of a Soldier of Christ". The contoured grip is a black corded and red leather wrap.

The 10 inch blade is constructed in 440C stainless steel that is tempered to 45-50 HRC, and given a lustrous mirror polish. The blade is decorated with a deep etch depicting a mounted Knight slaying a Dragon positioned above a coat of arms. The dagger's dual-edge blade is dulled for safety and well suited for costume and beautiful display. This Knights Templar Dagger edition comes with a highly decorated matching scabbard with gold metal throat and chape with enamel hand painted detailing.
