An optional Cloth padded Helmet Liner is a must-have for anyone spending any length of time donning a metal helmet on foot or on horseback. Even when fully lined a Helmet can quickly have you yearning for a soft feathery substance between your scalp and your head-gear. Hence the fluffy cotton padded arming cap. Arming Caps, were worn under helmets as a protective padding. Historically they were filled with straw or rags. This cap is made from soft cotton and filled with 3/4" of soft batting.
