Next to his trusty sword Glamdring, the white staff was Gandalf's chief weapon. This authentically detailed staff is a reproduction of the one carried by Gandalf the White and prominently featured in "The Two Towers" and "The Return of the King" films presented by New Line Cinema. Gandalf (also known as Gandalf the Grey and later as Gandalf the White) is an old, but powerful wizard who was an important influence at the Council of Elrond, since he knew the power The One Ring possessed and the evil the Dark Lord Sauron could do if he recovered it. He joined Frodo and the other selected members of the Fellowship as they crossed Middle-earth in their quest to destroy the ring. In The Two Towers, Gandalf was sent back to Middle-earth as Gandalf the White, and to complete his task he was given a new white staff to aid in the battle to defeat Sauron.
