The Sword of the Apocalypse is a wondrous work, the silver plated handle portrays scenes of the Horsemen of the Apocalypse and the pommel shows a triumphant angel warrior rising above evil. The sword measures 53-inches in length and weighs over 11 pounds. Handle, guard and pommel are plated in silver and highlighted with 24-karat gold details. The sword's 420A stainless steel blade is massive and is jagged edged.
Apocalypse comes from Greek meaning an 'unveiling'. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse is the best known and most frequently referred to scene in the Apocalypse. After the opening of the first four seals (Rev. 6, 1- 8), the Horsemen enter the world and bring plague, war, hunger and death to mankind.
The four horsemen are 1) The 'conqueror' holding a bow; 2) 'War' with. a sword; 3) 'Famine' with a pair of scales; 4) 'Death', on a 'sickly pale' horse, closely followed by Hades, a gaping jawed Leviathan. The Apocalypse is known as a period of struggle that will end in the ultimate destruction of darkness. At the end of time, it is foretold, this great battle will take place and will forever seal the triumph of good over evil. |
